Premier Diagnostic Center in Burnaby, British Columbia is performing PET/CT scans on an immediate basis for cancer and Alzheimer’s patients and their physicians. We have a state-of-the-art Siemens Biograph 16 PET/CT scanner, producing superior readings of extremely high resolution and we are approved for IV Contrast enhanced Diagnostic CT with PET, unavailable for adults elsewhere in BC. With over 10 years of PET imaging experience, our staff is fully aware of the importance a PET/CT scan can have on diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcomes.
We’re currently performing Alzheimer’s disease imaging in 2 promising clinical trials sponsored by Eiy Lilly including the Biogen ‘Aducanumab’ and the AstraZeneca ‘Amaranth’ trials. In addition, we have performed Alzheimer’s imaging for the research department at the University of British Columbia’s Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health.

Dr. Simon Sutcliffe, M.D., FRCP, FRCP(C)
Dr. Sutcliffe is highly regarded as a leader in cancer control. His training has encompassed internal medicine, scientific research, and medical and radiation oncology in Canada, the USA, the UK, and South Africa. Dr. Sutcliffe has held staff appointments at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital (London, England), Princess Margaret Hospital/Ontario Cancer Institute, and the BC Cancer Agency. Dr. Sutcliffe was awarded the Queen Elizabeth 50th Jubilee Gold Medal in 2003, and the Terry Fox Award of the BC Medical Association in 2009 for his lifetime services to cancer control. Dr. Sutcliffe acted as the President and CEO of the BC Cancer Agency from 2000 to 2009. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of the Ontario Cancer Institute/Princess Margaret Hospital, from 1994 to 1996. He chairs the Board of the Institute for Health Systems Transformation and Sustainability; he is President of the International Cancer Control Congress Association, and of the International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research – Canada Branch (Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration); he is a Senior Advisor to the Terry Fox Research Institute; and he is Chief Medical Officer for Qu Biologics Inc. and Omnitura Inc. He is a past Chair of the Board of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC, 2009-2012), he is a past Chair of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR, 2006-7), and he has served on the Boards of CPAC, MSFHR and Genome BC. Dr. Sutcliffe is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia and an Associate Scientist with the Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre at the BC Cancer Agency.

Dr. Rajpaul Attariwala
Dr. Attariwala, MD, PhD is a dual board certified radiologist and nuclear medicine physician who is certified in both Canada and the United States. He is a currently also a director at AIM Medical Imaging, and he has given presentations at numerous international conferences.
He received his formal training at UBC, along with specialized medical training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (New York), UCLA, and USC. He also holds a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). Dr. Attariwala will bring expertise in many diagnostic protocols, and Premier will provide additional leading technology imaging options for the medical community and their patients.
Director of Clinical Operations of the Premier Diagnostic Center
Premier Diagnostic Center would like to welcome our new Director of Clinical Operations, Shenan Dhanani, RTNM. Mr. Dhanani joins the team with over 17 years of experience in nuclear medicine, with a focus PET/CT, 15 years of which were working in the United States. Mr. Dhanani has experience in multi-modalities and has worked with a company that is a world-wide innovator in diagnostic imaging.
We also announce that Geoff Waters has resigned from his role at the clinic in November 2018. We wish Mr. Waters well in his future endeavors.
